Helping Skilled Newcomers Return to Their Professions

Every year, skilled individuals arrive in the UK with professional experience in medicine, engineering, teaching, and other vital fields. Yet many face a wall of complex systems, qualification gaps, and language barriers that prevent them from working in the sectors they know best.

The EON project exists to change that.
We support Hong Kongers, Ukrainians, refugees, and asylum seekers with the right to work, helping them find meaningful employment and rebuild their careers with confidence and dignity.

Key Outcomes

In the last year, EON has:

  • Achieved a 25% employment rate among programme participants

  • Supported 12 highly skilled clients through tailored career plans

  • Exceeded our 2024 programme target, helping 40+ additional individuals beyond our goal

  • Strengthened partnerships with voluntary organisations across Essex

These outcomes are more than numbers - they represent restored purpose, financial independence, and new beginnings.

What We Do

The EON project provides a wraparound employment support service, including:

  • One-to-one career guidance for internationally trained professionals

  • Support in translating and recognising overseas qualifications

  • Connections to local employers, training providers and requalification pathways
